The Lonely at the Top Award for Executive Producer Excellence
For the EP who keeps the vision clear, the team inspired, and the client happy. Submit a narrative that best describes their leadership and creative touch.


The Favorite Shot Award for Director of Photography (DP) Excellence
For cinematographers who go above and beyond to capture unforgettable images. Submit a photo with a brief narrative showcasing their strongest visual work.


The Yarn Spinner Award for Producer / Storytelling Excellence
For producers who turn chaos into story — creative problem-solvers who make “water into wine.” Submit a narrative describing their best-produced work.


The Field General: Producer Hero Award
For those who make the impossible happen in the field. Include a short narrative that demonstrates their field production magic.


The AP Muscle Award for Associate Producer Excellence
For APs who hold it all together — scheduling, wrangling, and organizing with grace. Submit a narrative that highlights their amazing contribution to the project.


The Light Beam Award for Lighting & Gaffer Excellence
For the lighting artist or gaffer who transforms a scene through illumination. Submit a photo and narrative showing off their best lighting work.


The Squirrel with a Nut Award. Archival Excellence
For archival producers and researchers who dig up the gems that define a story. Submit a narrative that features your discovery.


The Painting Pictures Award for Graphics & Motion Design
For GFX artists and animators whose visuals elevate the storytelling. Submit a narrative and photos that highlight their design work.


The Groove Award for Music & Sound
For composers or sound designers who shape emotion and tone through sound. Submit an video+audio clip and narrative featuring your composition or design.

The Hero Award for Production Assistant Excellence
For PAs who go above and beyond in every department. A written nomination from a supervisor or teammate is encouraged.


The Scout’s Honor for Location Excellence
For location scouts and managers who uncover the best of Connecticut. Submit photos and a narrative highlighting the location and its use in production.


The Teardrop Award for the most Emotional Moment
For editors, producers, or shooters who captured the most powerful on-screen emotion. Submit the moment or scene that moved everyone on set and at home.



Eligibility:

  • The CT TV Fest accepts submissions from producers, writers, directors, and any creators of television, streaming, and digital series, including pilots, episodics, or short-form content. 

  • BEST of CT award submission company must be based in CT.

  • Production workers submitted for INDIVIDUAL awards can reside in or outside of the state, as long as the production is associated in some way with CT.

  • Submissions must have been completed on or after January 1, 2025 and before December 15, 2025.

  • All submissions due: December 15, 2025.
