LaunchPad’s PA Workshop is a full-day, high-energy training experience built to help young adults facing barriers break into the world of film, television, and digital production. With Netflix, Wheelhouse, CT TV Fest, and industry executives on location—including LaunchPad board member Stephanie Leonard—this is where emerging talent learns the skills, meets the right people, and gets seen.
*Note: this event requires SEPARATE REGISTRATION and is specifically designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals.

10 AM - 1 PM - LAB: 60 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK: YOUR TIME STARTS NOW
In this fast-paced, hands-on session, Tom Langan, two-time Emmy Award nominated Director of Photography and Producer, and the founder of Talex Media, will lead you through creating a 60-second, story-driven video for Open Doors, a Norwalk-based non-profit that address issues of housing stability. Participants will focus on solving one of Open Doors’s specific communications challenges.
2 PM - 4 PM - LAB: SO YOU MAKE CONTENT FOR YOUTUBE NOW: GET IT $SEEN!
YouTube is now one of the most influential platforms for filmmakers and storytellers, but succeeding on the platform requires a unique strategic approach. In this workshop, Creative Producer Garrett Beltis shares the fundamentals of building and managing a high-performing YouTube channel, drawing from years of experience running some of Nickelodeon’s flagship digital properties.
4:30 PM - 6 PM - LAB: HOW TO CRAFT THE PERFECT TV PITCH
Attention future showrunners! Think you have the idea for the next big TV show? In this 90 minute workshop, Emmy-winning Head Writers/Executive Producers Eric Stangel & Justin Stangel (Late Show with David Letterman) take you through the ins and outs of crafting a strong pitch to help you maximize your chances of selling.

Where do I park?
We recommend the Yankee Doodle Garage (see above map) at 10 Burnell Blvd. Pay by plate at the machine, or by app.
What tickets do I need for what?
The tickets page breaks it down. We have a FULL EVENTS pass, LABS ONLY (Space 67 Studios) pass, AWARDS & PARTY ONLY (Lot 48 Studios) pass, and a discounted AWARDS & PARTY pass for attendees of the Launchpad PA Workshop.
How far apart are the venues?

Will I be fed?
Food is provided as part of the Happy Hour and Party and for the PA Workshop attendees. Lunch is available at several establshments within walking distance. Ask us for recommendations!
Will there be drinks?
Yes, one free drink ticket will be provided for every paid attendee. After that, an affordable cash bar.
What happens if there’s inclement weather?
At the moment there are no plans to change scheduling due to inclement weather.
